CHP dispatch is reporting that an injury accident on Hwy 299 just east of the 101 interchange has shut down the eastbound lane until a tow truck can remove the Hyundai Accent.
There appears to have been a hit and run. Law enforcement is currently searching in the Arcata area for the suspect vehicle, a white sedan of unknown make which “should have left side dmg and some pieces hanging frm the front.”
