Humboldt County Public Works Department press release alerting Arcatans what days their lives might be messed up:

The Humboldt County Department of Public Works together with VSS International, Inc. will be resurfacing County roads in the Arcata area on September 27, 2013 and October 1 and 2, 2013.  Temporary road closures will be required for approximately 4 hours, for the surfacing material to dry and be ready for traffic. Please use alternate routes.

The following Arcata roads will be closed or restricted to travel and traffic, including bicycles, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the dates and locations indicated.

  • Friday, September 27th on Edith Drive from Alice Avenue to James Road.
  • Tuesday, October 1st on Alice Avenue from Ernest Way to Parton Lane.
  • Wednesday, October 2nd on Alice Avenue from Ernest Way to Upper Bay Road.

  • Wednesday, October 9th on Benbow Drive from the East Branch Bridge to Lake Benbow Drive and Lake Benbow Drive from Benbow Drive to Benbow Dam Road.
