Shasta County Sheriff Press Release:

Between 6-17-2013 and 6-21-2013, agents with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Investigative Team with assistance from agents with the Shasta Interagency Narcotic Task Force and California Department of Fish and Wildlife, conducted raids at five separate properties. The raids occurred on two properties off Two Feathers Rd. in Cottonwood, CA,  one off Fiddler’s Rd. in Ono, CA, one off Hwy 36 in Platina, CA and  one in Humboldt County. [Emphasis added]

On 6/17/2013, agents contacted Kaeo Vongpanya and Somphone Rattanaphosy both from Anderson, CA at a piece of property off Fiddler’s Rd. in Ono, CA.  207 marijuana plants were subsequently eradicated.  Both Vongpanya and Rattanaphosy were interviewed and released on scene.  The case will be submitted to the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office for review.

On 6/18/2013, agents served a Shasta County search warrant off Two Feathers Rd. in Cottonwood, CA.  Austin Tucker, Charles Way and Leslie Wishmer were contacted and subsequently arrested at a marijuana cultivation site.  Agents eradicated 381 marijuana plants and seized 17 pounds of processed marijuana.

Also on 6/18/2013, at a different parcel on Two Feathers Rd. in Cottonwood, CA,  agents contacted Ly Praset from San Jose, CA and Keo Vannarath at a marijuana cultivation site.  366 marijuana plants were eradicated by agents and Praset and Vannarath were subsequently arrested.

On 6/20/2013, agents served a Shasta County search warrant at a piece of property off Highway 36 in Platina, CA.  Agents contacted Stephen Fuller from Crestline, CA at the property.  Agents subsequently eradicated 1,256 marijuana plants from three green houses and from two additional outdoor marijuana cultivation sites located on the property.   Agents seized over 30 pounds of processed marijuana, packaging material, scales and a Polaris UTV.  With information obtained from the Platina, CA property, agents served a second search warrant at an address in McKinleyville, CA and seized additional processed marijuana, packaging material and U.S. currency.   The case is still under investigation pending contact with additional suspects.
