People are being asked to stay away from public lands along the ocean near Manila, as law enforcement will soon be conducting a sweep of the area in connection with yesterday’s homicide.
Carol Vander Meer, executive director of Friends of the Dunes, tells the Lost Coast Outpost that she got a call announcing the “soft closure” just moments ago. She said that her staff is staying in place, and are asking visitors to the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center to leave.
Stay off the dunes.
