Just before midnight on Easter Sunday, a man reportedly was behaving erratically near the Eureka Theater. When contacted by the Eureka Police Department (EPD) near 7th and F Street, the man, who admitted to being under the influence of LSD, attacked an officer.

According to Sgt. Steve Watson of the EPD, the man, Edwin Bishop Self,  was subdued with a taser, taken for medical observation and eventually booked into the Humboldt County Jail. He was charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance
