According to Caltrans, a truck on the way to this year’s Humboldt County Fair had a little problem. (See more photos on Caltrans’ Facebook page here.)

One lane of Hwy 36 had to be closed this morning near Burr Valley Road when both axles of a trailer on a carnival truck went over the edge of the roadway about 5 a.m. this morning. 

The roadway is now clear and traffic is moving smoothly in both directions.
