Eureka Police Department press release:

On 12/02/14, at about 6:30 am, Eureka Police Department officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm at a store on the 200 block of F Street, Eureka. Upon arrival a short time later, officers discovered two unknown suspects had forced entry into the business and then quickly fled carrying numerous items of merchandise.  

On 12/03/14, at about 8:36 p.m., officers and Problem Oriented Policing detectives responded to an apartment on the 800 block of A Street, Eureka to conduct a probation search as part of a follow-up investigation into the burglary.

 When officers knocked on the door and announced themselves, a male subject was seen fleeing toward the back of the apartment.  Officers forced entry into the apartment and detained three subjects inside. During a subsequent search of the residence and an associated garage, detectives located numerous articles of new designer clothing with their tags still attached. The owner of the store was later contacted and identified the clothing as property stolen from the store.  

This is an ongoing investigation and no suspects have been arrested at this time.  Anyone with information regarding burglary activity or stolen property is asked to call the Eureka Police Department at (707) 441-4060.
