Arcata Police Department Press Release:

On 1/31/2014 at about 5:00am, an officer from the Arcata Police Department identified a stolen Dodge mini van driving past him in the opposite direction in the 100 block of South G Street. 

The vehicle was quickly located in the 100 block of F Street and found to be occupied by two female subjects.  Additional officers arrived at the scene and the female subjects were detained without further incident. 

The driver of the vehicle, Eureka resident Grace Jean Miller (age 30), was taken into custody at that time.  During the subsequent investigation, several grams of methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle. 

Miller was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where she was booked on the following charges:

  • PC 496(a) - Possession of Stolen Property

  • H&S 11377(a) - Possession of a Controlled Substance

  • H&S 11364.1(a) - Possession of paraphernalia
