Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Press Release:
On 1-24-2014, approximately 11:45 p.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a Bridgeville resident who reported unknown suspects had burglarized his outbuilding in the 1600 block of McClellan Mountain Road, Bridgeville over a two day period. The suspects had stolen an Acura Sedan and an all-terrain vehicle, besides a recreational vehicle, 26 firearms including rifles, shotguns and handguns, and a large amount of dried marijuana. The victim told the deputy he was reporting the crime because he was concerned due to the large amount of firearms that were stolen. The victim had no idea who may have committed the crime.
The all-terrain vehicle was recovered approximately four mile away from the victim’s residence, and the Acura was located unoccupied on Trusdale Steet, Eureka by Eureka Police on 1-24-2014, however the recreational vehicle is still outstanding along with the firearms and marijuana. The recreational vehicle is described as a white with brown stripe, California Plate 2RKC039.
