Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release:

The Humboldt County Drug Task Force and members from the Eureka Police Departments POP team served several warrants in the Alton and Humboldt Hill area in the past few days. The search warrants were obtained based on information from a Eureka Police arrest where 229 pounds of processed marijuana bud was seized. The estimated value of the marijuana bud is at least $229,000.00.

On 1/28/14 at about 2:00 p.m. a warrant was served at three residences located in the 4900 block of Old State Highway, Alton. Two adult females were detained at the residence along with two minor children. The minor children were later released to a family member.

During the service of the search warrant, processed marijuana was located and approximately $17,000.00 cash was located and later seized as evidence. In total, over 220 lbs of processed and packaged Marijuana was seized during this initial investigation. A dismantled indoor Marijuana growing operation was located at this location.

One of the adult females, Shinael Wolf-Kelly (28) was taken into custody for possession of Marijuana for the purpose of sales. Wolf-Kelly booked and released from the jail later that evening.

On 1/29/14 at about 1:00 p.m. Drug Task Force Agents and EPD POP team members served another search warrant related to this case on a residence at the end of Lee Lane, Humboldt Hill. Two adult males were located in the residence along with the same female, Shinael Wolf-Kelly and her children. More evidence of another dismantled indoor growing operation was also located in the garage of the residence and over $15,000 cash in hidden location in the master bedroom.

Wolf-Kelly and one adult male were again interviewed and released at the scene. Jonah Greenfield (31) was taken into custody and charged with possession of Marijuana for the purpose of sales.

This case remains under investigation by the Humboldt County Drug Task Force.
