According to Eureka Police spokesperson Sgt. Steve Watson, a pedestrian was struck on Broadway a little after 10 p.m. tonight. Watson explained that a northbound motorist in a compact car struck a male pedestrian who was crossing the street eastbound near West Hawthorne.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with a “severe leg fracture.” The accident is under investigation but, said Watson, “the driver was not arrested.”
