Steve Knight: Yurok Tribe opperation. Indian Affairs asked us to assist.

5 officers from our agency. 6 since lt. Cavinta has been up there. 7 from Bureau of I Affairs 2 Dept of Fish and Wildlife wardens. 6 from northern state marijuana investigation team DOJ 5 drug task force agents. 2 DA inestigators. 5 Marin co sheriff offices deputies 2 Eureka police officers.

Monday they eradicated approximately 2000 total marijuana plants from two locations. Suspects identified on scene. If they are non-violent. I don’t believe there have been any arrests. I have no information beyond Monday. Due to the locality there has been no cel pohne contact they have been working long hours.

The problem is I don’t have a lot of information. They have been out there every day.

Splitting 40 renting the 20 small depo. Large depo nearby. They hit that on Tuesday.

They took everything. took my water pumps took my generator. 20 officers. One warrant from the HCSO and then came on Thursday with a warrant for the pump only the name they have is the person I pay the rent to. 

I don’t know what to expect at this 

My name is not on anything. They found a bank statement of mine in one of my trucks but it  No way more than 40 lbs out of that parcel. No guns, no stealing water, the property

Didn’t do anything to anyone last year. Took the scripts that I had in the house. 

We get told about this by a neighbor and then by the LA times on Monday. There was no benefit to being there. 

Last year they had helicopters. Only natives Tribal police. I have a video of guys. My entire road believes they were robbed and that is  Last year I was one of the bigger people on that road. There is a lot of racial tension. Yurok tribal meeting. If you want us to help you, you have to bust more than natives.

The natives only have land use claims within one mile of the Klamath on either side. Reservation jurisdiction ends there. What I was told this year they wanted to enforce anything from 3 miles of the Klamath. Bigger more industrial grows . They went up the road past us. No plant counts. 

If you haven’t been caught yet you keep your mouth shut so you don’t get caught. If you have been caught your lawyer is going to say keep your mouth shut…

Two weeks ago crazy grid in the sky with a cargo jet. Four propeller engines. Back door was open.  6 hours during the day. they did 8th of mile lines. I saw something inside the cargo bay. A green light in the cargo bay.

Every Monday weekly Coast Guard helicopter passed over on Sunday.

Took plants one day next day took equipment. The upper now only had a small amount of outdoor full season plants. Zero tolerance.

Tribe has zero tolerance. They don’t recognize 215. Within one mile on either side of the river hunting and gathering rights. Allowed to 

They can’t serve a criminal warrant. Marijuana is separate from agricultural use. The second you put one mj plant down  They threw my truck down a gully. I think they just wanted to stick it to these growers.  They write us off as growers and then they get away with treating us however they want.  Solar setup from the  5 or 6 thousand dollars. Took trailer on the property. If you don’t have power there there is not much you can do. We weren’t running They left me a receipt. My position I lost a bunch of gear. I’ll be damned if I will show up at the Yurok Tribe the tribe has no power over a non native. 

No industry in that neck of the woods. It blows me away. After this operation I can guarentee that Heroin is the number one industry in that neck of the woods maybe second to meth.

Even the lawyer we went last year. Dan Rather was there during the raid.  Nothing got aired. We got robbed. 

Interesting last year they didn’t go into buildings. They didn’t do anything but take the plants and leave.

It is over for me now. They are not the bad sort growers that they need to be going after. It is very much racially motivated. The system that they have now as a non native you can’t attend a meeting. If you have any number of feral livestock. If they think you are making money, unless you are native. Everyone else on the lower end of my road got wiped out except us (two people leased from a native.)  I’m not close with the natives except the Pierson’s that own the store. 

A lot of the people who come in every day have to tighten their belts and they drive to Winco. I don’t know why the tribe aren’t trying to maintain some sort of money within an area that has nothing.

They are not just growing pot. Most are organic most are not taking off a creek. Every time that term is thrown around They’re on deeded private property. These are people who are raising families and are integrating themselves into the community as best they can.

Last year my neighbor was cooking meth. They don’t make any money. To gain more cultural isolationism. The other option they are just trying to do …[Drug war]  80 plants were already gone but they counted them. Everyone I knpw has children and dogs on their property. They aren’t using pesticides/rodenticides. They are using water as a kind of false flag. I don’t believe it. There is more water there than any other community.

Water out of my meighbors deeded spring. we get his overflow, I take his overflow only when  I use about 120 gallons per week on my parcel. I fill my tank less than once every two weeks. 2000 gallons. I think there are I’ve seen the photographs. I don’t know anyone who is doing it on their property. I dont’ know anyone who is tresspass grows. It seems like they are going after people who are on land they are supposed to be on. Rob owen—a resident of the area that got busted.
