How many local bumper stickers can you name?

Hank Sims, Lost Coast Outpost editor, could name two only-in-Humboldt bumper stickers in 30 seconds. Yet KHUM listener Mario could name three and didn’t overlap with Sims’ list (listen below).

Now it’s your turn. Let’s catalog hyper-local bumper stickers that espouse a Humboldt-specific viewpoint, from any era. Extra credit if you can find a photo.

What we’re not looking for: Every town in America has “My Child Is An Honor Student” and “Support This Local Product” bumper stickers. Unless they’re exceptionally creative, skip those. In other words, “US Out Of Humboldt County” might work, “#LoCORulez” would not.

We’d like to submit this URL to the Humboldt Room at the HSU library just to see what happens, so let’s make some history. Leave your favorites in the comments section. I’ll start with Mario’s list.

Meanwhile, please enjoy 35 seconds of KHUM listener Mario narrowly defeating Hank Sims at the Local Bumper Sticker Name Game.
