It’s that time again, consumers of the finer things. It’s the “did you hear (insert name of talented/famous someone) is coming to Humboldt State?” dance we do each year. 

Yes, CenterArts has released their 2014-15 lineup featuring names both new and familiar. Do you have a bit of money to spend? Then in the coming months you could be basking in the glow of, oh let’s see … uh oh … none other than “Ron Swanson” himself Nick Offerman! O, man! The Avett Brothers? They make lovely sounds! Dana Carvey, you say? I almost saw a midnight showing of Wayne’s World at the Minor (if it wasn’t for all that smoke, you know).

Other highlights include the returns of purdy talkers Neil deGrasse Tyson, David Sedaris and Mike Birbiglia, as well as Harlem-born crooner Gregory Porter and the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain (it is LoCO’s opinion that we are currently culturally experiencing “peak ukelele,” so catch ‘em before the instrument becomes passé).
