From the Fortuna Police Department:

On June 26, 2014 at about 6:30 AM, officers responded to the 1000 Block of South Fortuna Boulevard for after a customer of a local coffee shop observed a male subject standing near the business engaging in the act of masturbation.

Upon arrival, the officer observed Kevin Murphy (Age 39 of Fortuna) standing near the Drive-Thru with his pants down and additional evidence indicating that Murphy had been engaging in the observed act. Murphy was arrested for Indecent Exposure and Probation Violation and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.

The Fortuna Police Department believes that there may be additional victims to this crime and asks that anyone who observed may have observed Mr. Murphy this morning contact Sgt. Ellebrecht with the Fortuna Police Department (707) 725-1445.
