CHP dispatch reports that a burning vehicle temporarily closed northbound Hwy 101 this morning by Garberville. The first call came in at 5:38 a.m. to CHP dispatch reporting a motorhome on fire.

The reader reports that as of 6:20 a.m. the motorhome was on the Sprowl Creek Road overpass. Angela Hensley, a Southern Humboldt resident, said that the southbound freeway offramp was closed. This is the last exit heading south so make sure to take the earlier exit if you need to get into town.
