Farmers and gardeners got ready for spring by swapping seeds and plants at the Humboldt Permaculture Guild’s 16th Annual Seed and Plant Exchange on Saturday at the Arcata Community Center. 

Activities and workshops included seed saving, soil sleuthing, fruit tree grafting and rain water catchment. Music included Caitlin Jemma and The Long Gone Stringband, The Attics and Lyndsey Battle.  

On Sunday the Humboldt Permaculture Guild’s will host a fruit tree workshop and its inaugural scion exchange. You can find the flier here.
