Shortly after 4 p.m. today a charcoal-gray Toyota pickup truck heading south on Ferndale’s Main Street collided with a Chevy Tahoe that was parked on the opposite curb. The driver of the pickup was conscious but apparently dazed immediately after the collision. The Tahoe was unoccupied.

Two dogs were also in the cab of the pickup. They appeared uninjured. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, placed a neck brace on the driver and carried him on a stretcher into an ambulance.
