Arcata Police Department press release:
Yesterday, May 20th, officers from the Arcata Police Department, with the assistance of the Humboldt County SWAT Team and the Humboldt State University Police Department, served a search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of Patrick Court.
Upon entering the residence, officers located over 1000 Xanax tablets packaged for sales with an estimated street value of $7000. Also located in the home, approximately two pounds of processed marijuana, materials consistent with the manufacturing of concentrated cannabis using the extremely volatile butane extraction method, an AR-15 rifle and a tactical shotgun.
At approximately 3:00 pm on May 20th, investigators from the Arcata Police Department located a suspect associated with the search warrant served earlier that day on Patrick Court. Michael Joseph Allegra, 19 of Arcata, was arrested in the 2300 Blk of Ariel Way, Arcata. Upon Allegra’s arrest, 30 pounds of processed marijuana packaged in one pound increments was located in his vehicle.
Allegra was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on the following charges:
- 11379.6 H&S- manufacturing by chemical extraction
- 11378 H&S- possession of a controlled substance for sale
- 11379(a) H&S- sales of a controlled substance
- 11359 H&S- possession for sales of marijuana
- 12022(a)(1) PC- possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony
