UPDATE, 3:25 p.m.: Eureka Police Department press release: 

On October 9, 2014, at approximately 11:02 AM, Eureka Police Department officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred at Chase Bank, 337 F Street.

Officers received information that a black male adult dressed in a garbage bag and a mask had fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash in a white kitchen style garbage bag.  Officers quickly located a subject matching the description fleeing westbound from the bank.  After a short pursuit the suspect was taken into custody on the 300 block of Broadway without incident.

The subject taken into custody was identified as Tracey Dontaye Drew Jr. (DOB: 12/25/1986) of Sacramento, California.  No weapons were used in the robbery.  

All the funds were recovered for return.  This case is still under investigation.

Original Post: A man allegedly robbed the Chase Bank on 3rd and F St. in Eureka today. According to Brittany Powell of the Eureka Police Department, her agency received a call at 11:02 a.m and after a short foot pursuit, officers were able to stop the alleged robber on 4th and Commercial Street. The stolen property, Powell said, was located on the suspect and he is now in custody.
