Arcata Police Department press release:

On 9/07/2014 at about 7:20pm, officers from the Arcata Police Department were dispatched to the Arcata Plaza on the report of a male subject attempting to sell narcotics to passerby’s [passersby.]  

Officers contacted the male subject, identified as Iowa resident Patrick James Brady-Foust (age 21), in the center of the Plaza. Officers learned that Brady-Foust had a nationwide extraditable arrest warrant out of Iowa for the possession and transportation of cocaine and methamphetamine. 

During a search of Brady-Foust incident to his arrest, officers located several grams of heroin, 2.5 ounces of psilocybin mushrooms, nearly one pound of marijuana and a syringe containing heroin. 

Brady-Foust was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where he was booked and lodged for H&S 11350(a) - Possession of a narcotic, H&S 11377(a) - Possession of a controlled substance, H&S 11364.1(a) - Possession of paraphernalia and H&S 11357(c) - Possession of more than one ounce of marijuana.
