From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:
On 04-28-2015 at about 5:00 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence located in the 350 block of Myers Avenue, Myers Flat, regarding an assault. The Deputy contacted a 30 year old male victim at the residence, who reported that he had been struck in the head multiple times with a hammer and was bleeding from the head. An ambulance was requested for the victim and he was transported to a local hospital.
The deputy spoke to the victim at the hospital who told him the following. The victim said at about 4:30 p.m.he went to a residence located in the 350 block of Myers Avenue to work on his motorcycle. The victim said as he was bent over working on his motorcycle he felt a hard blow to the back of his head. The victim said he immediately felt dizzy and he was then hit hard on his head for a second time. The victim said the blows caused him to fall to the ground.
The victim said he saw a white, male, adult in his late 30’s about 6’-2” tall, about 220 pounds, short blond hair standing nearby him. The victim said the suspect said, “You are lucky, I don’t kill you”. The victim said he was able to kick the suspect a couple times in the face with his feet. The victim said the suspect then took off running and drove off in a 1990’s, black, Toyota, 4- Runner.
The victim said he knew the suspect, but at this time did not want to disclose his name. At this time it is unclear why the suspect assaulted the victim. The victim did not receive life threating injuries.
