Late last night, emergency personnel responded to an accident on Highway 101 near Fortuna’s 12th Street exit in which a vehicle struck a pedestrian traveling across the roadway. The driver of the vehicle told CHP that the person ran out in front of him. 

According to LoCO’s CHP Watch, the pedestrian sustained major injuries and was transported to Redwood Memorial Hospital. We will update this post when we know more.
