UPDATE, 11:52 a.m.: Fire crews have requested law enforcement respond to the scene to speak with people in the area who may be responsible for the fire.

Original Post: Multiple fire agencies are sending engines to the end of Fifth Street in Arcata after reports of a vegetation fire near Wing Inflatables. Emergency personnel have closed K Street. Scanner traffic indicates that crews are attempting to locate the best route into the grassy area near the railroad tracks in order to address the blaze. The fire is estimated to be 100 by 200 feet in size.
