A juvenile male from Eureka posted the above video to his Facebook page last night. The footage shows two teenage boys shoving a young woman into the water of Humboldt Bay. Commenters quickly weighed in to express disgust and outrage, with many saying the woman in the video is known to be homeless.

“Local kids TERRORIZE a homeless woman… then post for laughs on Facebook,” one woman wrote.

By 10:30 this morning the clip had been shared more than 100 times, with numerous community members forwarding the footage to the Outpost as well as the Eureka Police Department.

Public Information Officer Brittany Powell said the video has been shown to EPD Chief Andy Mills, Captain Steve Watson and the department’s homeless liaison, Pamlyn Millsap.

“So far nobody knows the identity of the female,” Powell told the Outpost. “If we can identify the female and she wants to press charges, we will certainly follow through. It would be a misdemeanor battery charge. We know the identity of both juvenile males involved.”

The juvenile has removed the video from his Facebook page and did not respond to a Facebook message from the Outpost.
