A multi-vehicle accident at the intersection of 9th and G Streets is causing a slight traffic delay near the Arcata Plaza. Arcata fire and Arcata Mad River Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

LoCO Reporter John Ferrara’s super-awesome roommate Eric Bloom is on scene and reports that Arcata Police have blocked off G Street between 9th to 10th Streets.

Bloom reports that four vehicles were involved, including a parked bus and a truck that was a block away from the other cars involved. One person was being tended to inside the ambulance.

“I don’t understand how the truck was involved because it was so far up,” Bloom said. “The cops chalked the tires to mark its location and there was a bumper and a license plate on the ground next to it.”

Traffic is being diverted down 9th Street as the vehicles are cleared from the roadway.
