Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release:
On 12-02-2015, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip for one of the fugitives listed on the “Southern Humboldt’s Most Wanted Poster”. The caller reported seeing Shanan Bullock (age 48) walking N/B in the 800 block of Redwood Drive, Garberville.
Personnel assigned to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Garberville Station responded to the area. Within minutes, Deputies located Bullock near a business in the 800 block of Redwood Drive. Walking with Bullock was Matthew Kilduff (age 41), who is also on the wanted poster. Kilduff quickly fled on foot upon seeing the Deputies. A search of the area was conducted and Kilduff was later located near a business at the corner of Sprowel Creek Road and Redwood Drive.
Both subjects were taken into custody and searched incident to arrest. Bullock was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Kilduff was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Both subjects were subsequently transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for booking.
Since the launch of the Southern Humboldt’s Most Wanted poster, this marks the 9th capture of wanted fugitives. Most captures have been the direct result of community led tips.
