Redwood Region Logging press release:
The Redwood Region Logging is gearing up for its 77th annual Conference to be held on March 19, 20 and 21st at the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds in Eureka.
President of this year’s conference, Mike Lommori of Rio Dell, expects the conference to be one of the biggest conferences ever. In addition to vendors and businesses from all over the western United States, the conference will host the National College Timbersports competition. Schools from California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho and Montana will compete to represent their school on the national stage during the summer of 2015 at the Stihl Timbersports Collegiate Championship.
The Logging Conference showcases the latest and greatest equipment for logging companies on the West ranging from large log moving equipment to small electronic devices used in the timber industry.
The Conference starts on Thursday, March 19th with Education Day. Local school students will be provided with a tour of the equipment, watch the Lumberjack Timbersports teams and see the Historical Displays. Thursday evening will be the Beer and Wine Tasting as well as the VOICE Competition. Friday will include the Annual Business Meeting and Career Day for High School Juniors and Seniors as well as the High School Forestry Contest. Friday evening will be the Timberman’s Dinner/Auction at the Arcata Community Center and Saturday will be all day events at the Fairgrounds. The admission to the Fairgrounds activities are FREE to the public.
The Redwood Acres Fairgrounds will be transformed into a venue of Natural Resource Opportunities and VENDOR SPACES are still available for local businesses to showcase their products. The spaces are a variety of sizes and to learn more about the vendor opportunities, look at the web site at www.rrlc.net.
The Redwood Region Logging Conference provides the largest logging equipment show in California. The organization consists of 20 Board of Directors from Fort Bragg, Ukiah, Willits, Redcrest, Rio Dell, Fortuna, Eureka and Arcata.
