From the Eureka Police Department:
On 02/12/15 at about 5:27 p.m., Officers with the Eureka Police Department were dispatched to a panic alarm at a gas station on the 400 block of Harris Street. While officers were responding, it was confirmed that a robbery had taken place.
Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect used a crowbar to open a cash box located between the gas pumps. An employee confronted the suspect and the suspect assaulted the employee with the crowbar, causing minor injury. The employee pushed the suspect away and the suspect ran southbound with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Officers searched the area extensively but did not locate the suspect. The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 26 years old, 6’ tall, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gray bandana over his face.
