Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release:

On August 12, 2014 skeletal remains were located in the Little Van Duzen River near Dinsmore. Those remains have been positively identified as Zachary Travis Mousner, age 25, from Navasota Texas. The remains were identified through DNA submitted to the Department of Justice.

Mousner was reported to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office as a missing person in May of 2014. He was reported to be working in the Marijuana industry in southern Humboldt County.

Due to the condition of the skeletal remains, cause and manner of death is undetermined at this time. Anyone with information concerning Mr. Mousner is requested to contact Deputy Coroner Roy Horton at the Humboldt County Coroner’s Office (707) 445-7242.
