Ferndale Police press release:

On December 31st, 2014 at approximately 0110 hours, a Ferndale Police Officer stopped a vehicle driven by 52 year old Eureka resident John Douglas Goodrich, for a license plate violation on Fernbridge Drive at State Highway 211.

During a search of Goodrich’s vehicle, the officers discovered approximately one of 1/8 of an ounce of methamphetamine packaged for sales, along with other items indicative of drug sales. Ferndale Officers determined Goodrich was under the influence of controlled substances.

Subsequently Goodrich was arrested, transported and booked into the Humboldt County Correction Facility for the following charges:

California Vehicle Code 5204(a), Registration tab violation. (Infraction) 

California Health and Safety Code 11377(a), Possession of methamphetamine. (Misdemeanor) 

California Health and Safety Code 11378, Possession of methamphetamine for sales. (Felony) 

California Health and Safety Code 11379(a), Transportation of methamphetamine in a motor vehicle with the intent to sale, methamphetamine. (Felony) 

California Vehicle Code 23152(a), Driving while under the influence of a controlled substance. (Misdemeanor) 

California Health and Safety Code 11550(a), Under the influence of a controlled substance. (Misdemeanor)
