UPDATE 8:03 a.m.: Our reporter on the scene of the accident, Hank Sims, talked with the driver of the vehicle. The driver said that he was crossing Fourth on E Street with a green light when two bicyclists came whizzing through the red. The driver said he struck one of the bicyclists.

A vehicle vs bicycle accident temporarily shut down Fourth St. in Eureka this morning a little before 8 a.m. due to a collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist. An ambulance was on the scene.
