A structure fire involving a fumigated home is still burning after igniting around 10 o’clock this morning on Ishi Pishi Road in Orleans.
Multiple local fire departments are still battling the blaze, and CalFire Battalion Chief Laura Coleman tells the Outpost that air support has flown over the incident twice.
“It’s not common for a structure fire to burn for this long, but it is possible,” Coleman said. This is going to be an ongoing incident for quite a while.”
The Times-Standard reports that residents near the 1700 block of Ishi Pishi Road were evacuated due to hazardous chemicals coming from the two-story home.
