The Arcata Fire District is currently battling a vegetation fire on West End Road, near the intersection with Giuntoli Lane. 

The fire was called in by the CHP at about 12:15 p.m.

There is one-way controlled traffic on West End past the fire. Supporting resources from Humboldt Bay Fire were just sent home — a sign that things are pretty much in hand.
