Q: What are you doing this summer? A: Nuthin. Thus, you might as well star in one of the several films being shot behind the Redwood Curtain in the coming months. Audition this Sunday! We will let film commissioner Cassandra Hesseltine fill you in on the details below!

Redwood Curtain Casting will be holding an open casting call this Sunday, June 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Old Stewart School, 1125 16th Street in Arcata. The open call is for several SAG independent feature films filming in the redwood region this summer. Casting needs are:
- Males and females (extras) between the ages of 18 and 50;
- Women between the ages of 50 and 75;
- Boys between the ages of 5 to 9; and
- Males between the ages of 22 to 30 with light colored hair (preferably red tones) and height approximately 5’11”.

Following the casting call, there will be a workshop on “Good Practices of being an Extra or Production Assistant for Movies.” The workshop will take place on Sunday, June 28 at 5 p.m. at the Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission located at 1385 8th Street in Arcata.
