UPDATE, 10:57 a.m.: Traffic is flowing again, but the CHP forecasts that it’ll be one-way controlled until mid-afternoon.

Highway 36 is closed this morning, after a vehicle rammed a power pole in downtown Hydesville at around 8:30 a.m.
CHP dispatch logs tell us that local fire departments have closed the highway just east of the intersection with 101 after the sheared pole was found to be dangling precariously over the highway. A witness tells us that the pole is hanging by the wires.
They’ve put out the word for PG&E to come secure the situation.
