One person has been arrested in connection with the home invasion robbery that ended when a man was shot dead Saturday night, according to Arcata Police Chief Tom Chapman.

Chapman told the Outpost that his officers found Kimberly Lyn Steele, 28, at her home in Samoa on Sunday, shortly after the shooting. Steele was taken into custody for questioning, Chapman said, after which she was arrested and booked into jail on robbery charges.

“We are continuing to investigate her involvement in the homicide,” Chapman said.

Meanwhile, police are still seeking two men who are also believed to have been involved in the home invasion robbery and homicide, which police believe to have been “marijuana-related.”

“We are continuing to work on identifying those two individuals,” Chapman said. “Their identities have not been confirmed at this time.”
