From the Eureka Police Department:

On 05/27/15 at about 8:32 a.m., Detectives with the Eureka Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit (POP) served a search warrant at a residence on the 3800 block of Union Street. The warrant was obtained after information was received regarding illicit drug activity.

During a search of the residence, detectives located and seized 8 firearms, nearly 8.5 ounces of methamphetamine, over 36 pounds of marijuana, and over one ounce of marijuana hash.

Jay Aubrey Lewis, 42 of Eureka, was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of methamphetamine for sale, and possession of marijuana for sale. He was transported and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.
