College of the Redwoods release:
The Redwoods Community College District Board of Trustees unanimously voted to appoint Dr. Keith Snow-Flamer as the CR Interim President/Superintendent for the period July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016 at its May 5 meeting.
“I am honored that the Board of Trustees selected me as the Interim President/Superintendent for College of the Redwoods” said Snow-Flamer. “I see my new position as an exciting opportunity to continue to work with all my colleagues to advance the college’s mission and provide accessible, quality programs and services that promote student success. I am fortunate to have served with President Kathy Smith as her Vice President of Instruction and Student Development. I will miss her energetic leadership style and vision.”
Snow-Flamer is the current Vice President of Instruction and Student Development at CR. He has worked as a Vice President at CR since July of 2006.
“I am very pleased that the Board has chosen Dr. Snow-Flamer as the Interim President/Superintendent” said current CR President Kathy Smith. “As Vice President for the last seven and one half years, he was instrumental in developing the processes that were put into place to remove CR from accreditation sanctions and to balance the budget, and thus is uniquely qualified to lead the College down the path that has been established for full recovery. I have full confidence in Dr. Snow-Flamer and am pleased to see that the trustees do as well.”
CR has begun an internal search for an interim Vice President of Instruction and Student Development.
