From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:
On Friday, September 18, 2015 at about 5:30 a.m. the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call stating a robbery just occurred at the Chevron Station in Willow Creek. A deputy responded to the scene and spoke with the two victims.
The victims stated at about 5:30 a.m. this morning a male walked in wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt with his face covered and brandished a firearm at them. The suspect demanded money from the cash register and the victims complied. The victims handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect and the suspect exited the store and continued on foot northbound on Country Club Road.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Native American male, 5’8” – 5’10”, stocky build, about 180 lbs. The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is working with the manager at the Chevron Station to get a picture from their video surveillance out to the public.
