One person has been taken to the hospital after a rollover accident this evening in Arcata. According to witness statements given to Officer Keith Altizer with the Arcata Police Department and then relayed to The Outpost‘s John Ferrara, the unidentified female driver “sped out” of the Fourth Street Market parking lot and struck the center divider causing her vehicle to flip before coming to rest upright again on its wheels. 

Officer Altizer said the woman sustained minor injuries and she would be evaluated for DUI at Mad River Hospital.

The road has been cleared and traffic is flowing.
