One driver has been taken to the hospital for a DUI evaluation, following a two-car collision that occurred at the intersection of West Harris and Central Avenue in Eureka.

Initial scanner reports indicated one person was critically injured. However, Officer Cooper with the Eureka Police Department tells LoCo reporter Andrew Goff that both parties walked away from the crash and refused medical attention.

According to a witness on scene, the black SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to brake before hitting a truck stopped at a red light.

 

One person was taken to the hospital to be evaluated for a DUI.
