A non-injury traffic collision shredded a power pole into three pieces around 4 a.m., near the intersection of Excelsior Road and Fern Drive in Eureka. 

The crash cut power to at least thirteen homes, and caused power lines to spill out into the roadway.

Eureka Police, Humboldt Bay Fire and PG&E responded to the scene.

PG&E is still on scene attempting to restore power to the area.
