From the Eureka Police Department:

On 04/20/16 at about 11:48 p.m., Officers with the Eureka Police Department responded to a gas station on the 3500 block of Broadway for the report of an armed robbery. The caller reported that a male brandished a black handgun and demanded money. The male suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash before walking away south through the parking lot.

Officers responded and checked the vicinity with a K9. While tracking a scent through an alley near Iowa St., officers saw a male pushing a motorcycle. Officers attempted a traffic stop on the motorcycle but the male accelerated away and avoided apprehension. The clothing of the male on the motorcycle did not match the robbery description but it is possible that clothing was changed.

The robbery suspect was described as wearing a black face mask covering the lower portion of his face, glasses, black hair, and was wearing a black and white plaid hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, tan pants, and white tennis shoes. The suspect remains at large.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the Eureka Police Department at (707) 441-4044.
