Patricia Ann Reeves passed away with family by her side in Fortuna, California on April 3, 2016 at the age of 59.

Patty is survived by her children Shavon Johnson, Joshua Reeves and granddaughter Tiffany Johnson and siblings Charlotte Reeves, John Trump, Theresa Kimberling, Chuck Trump, Richard Goddard and Pam Jones. Patty was preceded in death by her mother and father and brother Jim.

Patty was born on Nov. 1, 1956 in Moscow, Idaho to Benjamin and Lorna Trump. She spent her childhood in Moscow and moved to CA in her late teens. After a break from schooling to raise her children, Patty returned to Marysville High School, earning her high school diploma in 1993. She continued her education and received an AA in 1998 and BA in 1999 at Yuba College, majoring in Early Childhood Education. After moving to Fortuna in 2006 Patty began working for Fortuna Unified School District as a Resources Aide and any other position as needed during her career until her passing. Patty’s children remember her as a kind and gentle mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. She spoke often and willingly to anyone who would listen of her children and their accomplishments.

Patty was a devout Christian who loved God and was passionate about Church. She was an active and dedicated member of the Eureka Church of Christ. Patty’s role as a mother and protector to her own children extended to every child she came across. She was a protector and mother to all children. She was very passionate about providing and caring for special needs children. She had patience for everyone she came across. Her heart will forever be celebrated as a mother, protector, and nurturer.

Patty was highly skilled and decorated in baking. She shared her goodies at church gatherings, holidays and any other occasion where she could spoil someone with her baked goods.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Fortuna Volunteer Fire Department Hall, courtesy of Chief Lon Wilburn and Honorary Volunteer Patrick “Suggie” Reeves. Dr. Billy Lawrence will officiate the celebration. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Patty’s life.
