Eureka Police Department press release: 

On 4/08/16 at about 8:04 a.m., an officer with the Eureka Police Department made contact with a male and female near the 1900 block of Broadway after receiving information the male was possibly in possession of a firearm. 

During a search, the officer located a loaded firearm in the female’s purse. The serial number was ran and returned as a stolen firearm out of the Humboldt County Sheriff jurisdiction. 

Tyrel Brannon (24) and Krystina Dias (27) both of Eureka were transported and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges related to the loaded firearm.
