Eureka Police Department press release:
On August 9, 2016, the Eureka Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit and Criminal Investigations Unit served a Search Warrant on the 1300 block of Haven Lane in McKinleyville. This warrant service was the result of an investigation into narcotic trafficking within the City of Eureka.
During a search of the residence, officers located approximately 357 grams (12.6 oz.) of methamphetamine, 189 grams (6.7 oz.) of cocaine, a loaded semi-automatic pistol and $2300 cash.
(For context purposes, a “hit” of either drug equals approximately .10 of a gram.)
Juan Angulo-Lugo (24) was arrested at the scene and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for: Possession of Methamphetamine for Sale, Possession of Cocaine for Sale and Possession of a Firearm While Possessing Methamphetamine and Cocaine for Sale.
This is an ongoing investigation and additional arrests are anticipated.
