LoCO Superfriend “Stoney Times” has not been the only person to notice that driving into Eureka from the safety corridor has been something of a pain in the butt over the last couple of days, as Caltrans does some work on the bridge over the Eureka Slough.
The pain will likely continue until 1 p.m. today, and is scheduled to return again promptly at 9 a.m. tomorrow. By that afternoon, it should disappear forever. The most recent installment of the Caltrans Road Work Bulletin states:
Bridge work at the Eureka Slough Bridge will occur August 29 through August 31. A southbound lane restriction will be in place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.
Exercise caution and prepare for delays, please!
