Caution, Oregon-goers: Wildfire has again shut down Highway 199 in Oregon, this time near the town of Selma (between Cave Junction and Grants Pass).
Multiple Rogue River-area news sources are reporting evacuation orders are in place for numerous neighborhoods in the Selma area, after the so-called “Gold Canyon Fire” — now an estimated 45 acres in size — erupted this afternoon.
Hard to say from here, of course, how long the closure of the road will last, but right now you ain’t getting through.
