Margaret Elizabeth LoCicero lived for 45 years here on Earth. She was born on January 27, 1971 in Fortuna and passed on December 8, 2016.

Maggie left behind her beloved husband, Andrew, and two wonderful children: Zoe and Ethan.

Maggie will always be remembered as a wonderful person, always ready to help anyone who needed it. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and make people laugh. She was a clown and always made funny faces for her daughter and son, who are 11 and 9 years, respectively.

She also left behind her mom and stepdad, Joel and Sue Tilley, two brothers and their wives — Mike & Leah Robertson and Jerry & Tommie Robertson — and one sister, Simka Savage, and her husband, Lance. Maggie was preceded in death by Richard Bailey, who was the father of her half-brothers, Richard and Ronnie.

Maggie attended Jefferson Elementary School, Winship Junior High and Eureka High School, where she excelled in her studies and demonstrated excellent abilities and skills. She worked as a bookkeeper, in an answering center and became a much-sought after Medical Transcriptionist, typing 250 words per minute. She always was a stickler for correct grammar and spelling. She later decided to go into the bookkeeping field by becoming a team member at Martin, Hutchinson, & Holman Accounting Firm.

Maggie met the love of her life, Drew LoCicero, 14 years ago at the Shanty. Within a few months they moved in together and discovered that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. He asked her to marry him and they were wed on November 6, 2004 in Concord, Calif. Their adventures together have included traveling to Hawaii, where Maggie got a bad sunburn, various trips to San Francisco, and yearly visits with his family in Southern California. They also had two amazingly brilliant children.

Maggie will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She made friends everywhere she went, and held onto them because of her loving nature.

Maggie’s Memorial Service will be held at Redwood Christian Center, 6000 Humboldt Hill Rd., Eureka on January 7, 2017, at noon. Reception following. In lieu of flowers, an account has been established at Wells Fargo Bank in the name of Margaret E. LoCicero Benefit Memorial Fund for her children: Zoe and Ethan.
